Commercial Description:
So simple in its creation, so magnificent in its maturity, this wonderful ale begins with Nature's most humble offerings, water, malted grains and hops. Our soulful yeast breathes life and depth into each brew. The steady hand of time orchestrates this alchemy into the splendid ale before you. Cheers!

Bottled in March 2005 (750), color is deep orange, bronze with minimal head. aroma is a light alcohol, brown sugar, fruit. flavor is more alcohol, little bubblegum, spot of oxidation. I’m really surprised that this is as thin as it is. as i keep sipping, the body seems continuously thinner. i love victory, but this isn’t one of my favorites.

Bottle: Poured a clear mild brown ale with a medium foamy slightly off-white head with great retention. Aroma of what I think is candi sugar is quite evident and well back by strong malt. Taste is also quite sweet, maybe even a tad too much for my liking with a dry hops finish. Not bad overall but just seems to be lacking complexity and yeast signature is way too discreet. Body is above average but could have been more full and bit more creamy. Interesting but I definitely had better beers from Victory.

750ml bottle, this is the first time i’ve ever needed a corkscrew for a bottle of beer! Pours a dark rusty orangish/amber color with a MASSIVE head of foam (pour this one slowly, folks) . Aroma is fruity, sugary, and candy sweet. Taste is reminiscient of sweet hard apple cider, with some maltiness and a definite alcohol bitterness. This is obviously one potent brew! Has a sparkly, bubbly medium mothfeel to it with alcohol burn on the swallow. Great beer, a little strong on the alcohol prescense, but maybe that’s a good thing, since you’ll know from the first taste that is one is to be sipped and savored slowly and respectfully. I’ve been wanting to try this for a long time and now that I read that it’s being discontinued, i’ll have to grab another couple of bombers to save for a special occasion. Hopefully, there’s still a few left!

Excellent to share. A sweet taste enhanced with the high 12% alc. Very good on a cool night or cold winter day.

March 05 vintage, 750mL bottle. Murky yellow-orange with red tinges. Tall off white fluffy head. Yeasy aroma, with fruity esters. Very spicy and hot flavor, clove/pineapple/fig/raisin. Alcohol heat and a lingering sweetness brace the spiciness in the finish. Mouthfeel is medium heavy, very hot.

My favorite beer. Deep color and complex mouthfeel, with sugar, apple, and other fruity characteristics. Alcohol is definitely noticeable but surprisingly balanced for such a strong brew. I’ve heard it’s being discontinued, which is a shame. Guess I’ll have to stock up while it’s still in stores

Very fruity, although clean. Those two words usually don’t go together in my book but in this case it fits. A very appley flavor, with the dry hopiness in the background. Frothy head, good lace, deep amber glow. Very good.. I let this rest for about a year. Age was very kind.
