Had that great, banana aroma and burst of flavor, followed by other darker fruits and spice. Almost a butterscotch quality, but not too sweet, just right. The alcohol shows up slowly, and lingers, adding to the experience. GirlyBeer (183), Biddeford, Maine, USA

Pours with a tan head with large bubbles. Fruity aroma of apples, dark fruits and apricots. Alcohol burn in the mouthfeel yet smooth. Good winter beer, sweet, smooth and enjoyable. mcox90 (624), Wilton, USA

Aroma is yeast, spice and candied fruit. Full bodied mouthfeel without the heavy carbonation sometimes found in Belgians. Flavor was brown sugar, caramel, dark fruits with a yeasty, earthy background. 12% abv is well disquised, a little to well. Very good brew, really enjoyed it. elihapa (1051), Honolulu, California, USA

Aroma is heavy on yeast, soil, and caramel. Flavor has earthy tones, ripe fruit, caramel and heavy spicing – orange peel, clove, nutmeg, cinnamon. Back palate has some dry chocolate to boot. Finishes long with savory yeast/wheat flavors. Really nice. blutt59 (2092), Dallas, Texas, USA

750ml 2002 vintage, bottled march 2003, opened 2009. What a waste. Cognac aroma devastates. An inkling of what once was. Remains light on the palate, but the tastes have turned quite unpleasantly sour and pungent. Gets better as it airs out and warms, creamier and milder. A great beer fresh, maybe not so great after 6 years.
