Commercial Description:
So simple in its creation, so magnificent in its maturity, this wonderful ale begins with Nature's most humble offerings, water, malted grains and hops. Our soulful yeast breathes life and depth into each brew. The steady hand of time orchestrates this alchemy into the splendid ale before you. Cheers!

An amber beer with a small disappearing head. The aroma is malty with distinct notes of hops, alcohol, and cowberries. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of cowberries and a dry finish.

(Bottle 75 cl) Courtesy of xproudfoot. Slightly hazy amber golden with an off-white head. Aroma of fruit and alcohol. Very full-bodied with notes of caramel, yeast and fruit. Very alcoholic finish - way too much. Almost a bit Tripel-like. 201006

Bottled at Stockholm Beer Festival. Cloudy roast red, brief head. Aroma of caramel and raspberries. Full bodied with rather clean mouthfeel. Potent and warming, salty with almondy yeast character and flowery notes. Hops comes through the yeast induced flavours giving it a resiny, really bitter finish. A massive beer, but perhaps missing out on the finer details.

Re-rate @ Ratebeer Summer Party: Aroma of alcohol, pears, hints of orange..full maltiness...alcohol in palate with hints of pears, spices, and a long finish. Better than it was the first time I tried it, but still not stellar.
I'm the first guy who didn't fall in love with this beer? Damn. Golden amber colour. Flowery, yeasty aroma with some pepper, spice and alcohol. More of the same in the palate. On paper a good beer but I couldn't get my mind of the Unibroue 11 comparisons, and this has less style and more alcohol influence. I think I offended it by thinking about another beer, because it continued to slap me with alcohol. Old rating: 2.9

Amber color, bright; poor head. Nice malty aroma, with some fruitness. Quite good taste, malty in the beginning, too much alcohol feeling, cork, fruits (oranges…). Powerful, drinkable, but missing any elegance.

(Bottled 3/11/03): Clear copper body with minimal head. Aroma is bubblegum, orange, caramel. Taste is orange, bubblegum sweet, finishing with an orangy alcohol warming/burn. Full body, sticky. Improves as it warms. For now, put me in the unimpressed camp, though it's possible this beer will improve with age.
