Golden copper color with a thin bubbly head, which went away quickly. Mouthfeel is crisp, yet ends somewhat smoothly. There is a nice spice that compliments the fuity sweetness. With the overall warmth to this it does indeed make it a pleasurable finisher to the night. MullMan (1088), Bloomfield, New Jersey, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 10, 2007 dense foamy short blanket of dense light tan head. body is orangey-amber, mostly clear. lots of fizz up the body. aroam is sweet malt, raisins in sherry, and a bit of tangerine zest. flavor is sweet & hot raisiny malt, with a little heat like brandy. seems like some hop bitterness is there but but obscured by the malty heat. dry heat aftertaste like mouthwash. bready malt. not as boozy as many BSAs though. thanks KHill! kmeves (1081), Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 16, 2008 Pours a clear dark copper body with a minimal white head. Aroma is sweet bubblegum, orange, caramel and some dough. Flavor is orange, bubblegum sweet, caramel, dough and fruity. Finishes very citric and long with a slight alcohol burn. Really the only time the alcohol is apparent. Full body, sticky texture. I could drink this one all the time. kujo9 (1079), North Ridgeville, Ohio, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 25, 2004 Medium amber w/a thin, short lived white head, pours sort of thick. Intial aroma is winelike, turns plum & peppery spice as it warms; Alcohol & woody, malty, hints of solvent & some smokiness as it warms. Very well balanced; malty w/ a dry finish, alcohol taste & fruitiness; some hop flavor in the finish & aftertaste, plum fruitiness, spicy, peppery, bready, doughy yeast. Some alcoholic astringency, dry m/f, alcohol is warming or a little more, medium bodied. A little more than warming for style. Not a bad example, but alcohol flavor takes away from the other subtleties. Good, but could be better. Prostman (1077), Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 24, 2009 Sampled from bomber. Pours orange with a medium sized head. Aroma is heavy on yeast, soil, and caramel. Flavor has earthy tones, ripe fruit, caramel and heavy spicing – orange peel, clove, nutmeg, cinnamon. Back palate has some dry chocolate to boot. Finishes long with savory yeast/wheat flavors. Really nice. rustychiles (1071), Mesa, Arizona, USA
