Commercial Description:
So simple in its creation, so magnificent in its maturity, this wonderful ale begins with Nature's most humble offerings, water, malted grains and hops. Our soulful yeast breathes life and depth into each brew. The steady hand of time orchestrates this alchemy into the splendid ale before you. Cheers!

Opened a 2004 bottle with Shigadeyo. This is one fantastic beer. Sweet, with hints of cherry, apple and yeast as it slides down down your throat like a belgian dominatrix. You’ll be begging for mercy and for more of this beer after the first sip. The alcohol is well hidden. MMMM, is all I have left to say. If you have a newer bottle, you may want to sit on it for a year or two because I could see where the alcohol could burn a bit early on....

Pours copper with a slightly off white head. Aromas of dark fruits, citrus fruits, and pine. Syrupy flavors of Dark fruits, light spices, and a nice hop dry finish.

Atlanta, Ga. - Toco Giant Package Store - 750 ml corked bottle. Dark copper pour with a luxuriant soft, silky off-white head. Strong aroma - almost cognac-like, with sweet hints of chocolate and caramel. Flavor is as luxuriant as the aroma and the appearance with chocolate, raisins, baked brown bread, cherry juice....essentially all the good stuff you find in a well made ale such as this. More akin to a fine liqueur - and almost as strong. Velvety smooth creamy mouthfeel. Best I have had in a long time.

Killer. Hints of tobacco create a very unique taste. I would really like to sit down and drink this for an afternoon.

Beautiful copper color with a thick but quick head. Very thick. Malty with metallic taste and strong alcohol finish. Hops and fruit dominate the front with sugar in the middle.

Bottle with a cork that says 2002 and a date that says bottled 2003. Smell is already citrousy like pineapple with hints of honey dew, fresh honey, and lemon tarts. Some pepper, and flower smells to this brew that make it a complex beer! Pours out a cloudy amber orange/ruby red color with a thick white head that is dampy and long lasting. Def yeasty and the sediments float on and about. The taste starts off dry and sour but finishes with a taste similar to biscuits wtih a sweet/tarty jam. The smell is so grassy and tarty, in a good way.

This beer is what Golden Monkey wishes that it could be. Spicy and nice and pungent in the aroma. A nice brown hue with plenty of carbonation. Sweet and nice and thick on the mouthfeel. Overall I really enjoyed this.

Great beer. Split the large bottle with a few people at a tasting. It was like a party in my mouth.
