So simple in its creation, so magnificent in its maturity, this wonderful ale begins with Nature's most humble offerings, water, malted grains and hops. Our soulful yeast breathes life and depth into each brew. The steady hand of time orchestrates this alchemy into the splendid ale before you. Cheers!

Amber bronze color with a little white head and some lacing. The aroma has the detectable sweetness in it, honey and apples with some hop notes coming through; the alcohol is THERE. The flavor is well balanced, alcohol hidden more than I'd presume. Some tastes of sugar and a tail of bitterness with some creamyness. This is a good belgian for simplicity but lacks some of the dark complexities I desire.

Hazy light brown with a thin head. Aroma is malty, Belgian yeast, and dark fruits. Smooth, well-masked alcohol content. Very nice.

I can tell that this is a very good quad ale in the belgium style. sweet syrupy beers are not my thing so i just kinda enjoy this, but not enough to want another sip.

Bottle. Faintly cloudy dark amber color with large foamy off-white head, faint bread aroma, high carbonation, vanilla like Belgian yeast flavor, sweetish taste with a hint of hoppy bitterness, medium sweet finish. Very smooth and well hidden alcohol content.

It pours amber in color with a slightly off white head. The aromas present are raisins, plums, noticeable alcohol, bread, pepper, and spices. The tastes are high on the sweet flavors of fruit and the malts. The fruits are more plums than raisins, bread, spices, a hint of caramel, and alcohol. There is significant alcohol warming, but not enough to create a burn. it has a heavy feel to it and is somewhat dry.

From notes (08/01/2015). A very good approximation / interpretation of traditional Belgian Quads. The malt and hop bills are intentionally very simple, resulting in a not quite complex but still very impressive beer. Aromas of stone fruits and yeast are followed by a more of the same in the taste. Great dark reddish brown color. Reminiscent of some of the uber-rare Trappist XII’s, but at a much better price point.

December 22, 2015. Bottle.
Hazy orange amber with a tiny white head, quickly dissipating leaving a small ring around the edge. Aroma is sweet malty with sugar, caramel, hints of dried fruits, hints of sweet fruity esters, slight spicy and boozy. Taste is sweet, slight boozy and light bitter. Finish is sweet malty, fruity, light boozy with pear, apricots, sugar, caramel, sultanas. Medium bodied, oily texture, average, small carbonation.
Decent, a bit boozy and estery.
