Commercial Description:
So simple in its creation, so magnificent in its maturity, this wonderful ale begins with Nature's most humble offerings, water, malted grains and hops. Our soulful yeast breathes life and depth into each brew. The steady hand of time orchestrates this alchemy into the splendid ale before you. Cheers!

I had this beer at Eulogy in Philly in Bottle. What a really unusual beer, despite the makers claim for simplicity. Sort of like a belgian, with sweet ether and alcohol notes, but also like a barley wine like their old horizontal. Great golden color and finishes with a good amount of hop to clean the palate like most Victory beers.

Pours a dark amber with a large cola-like head. Fruity spicy yeasty aroma with a bit of alcohol and slight raspberry. Interesting play on Belgian flavors, yeasty with malt that is toasted, slightly burnt and a bit sour, with this unique hard-candy understated sweetness. Burnt toast and raspberry hard-candy finish with some lasting bitter yeast. This stuff is so odd and yea it does remind me a bit of a triple. Very light sticky body with abrasive carbonation. So strange... almost like a "Belgian" ESB or maybe Southern Comfort diluted with Rolling Rock, yup, thats it.

crisp hop aroma, clear citrus note. Pours a sightly hazy amber brown, with a nice tan head. Well carbonated. Delicious balance of sweet & bitter. Has a nice caramel finish leaves the mouth with velvety feeling. This is a powerful beer that will pleasantly surprise with its balance and flavour.

This is a nice very aromatic beer. It pours a cloudy copper with a 3 mm lacing of copper toned white head. The palate is nice creamy like for this type of beer. Actually the most disappointing part of this beer is the flavor. It is good and worth the 6 I gave but no more. After taking a whiff of this beer I really thought it was going to be a 9, but it is a little too sweet for my liking like apricots some hops and a little yeast. Very good beer - a little less sweetness would make it great.

Lovely copper pour with lace but small head. Alcohol is there, but not prominent. Aroma of hops and yeast. Hops abundant in the mouth with a pronounced sweetness. The background has some fruit, but not much. Suger and hops pervade with some hints of dried apricots with golden raisins. Not spot on, but not bad.

750ml bottle courtesy of Swolf3, thank you Steven. Dark amber/orange pour, nice white head. Nice aroma. Big flavor, a little alcohol in the back, very tasty.
