On draft at Caponeís, where it was called Victory Village Coffee. I think it is supposed to remind you of a fresh cup of coffee from a little village coffee shop, or something like that. It seemed more like a coffee porter than a BA to me. Pretty light and malty with a some coffee spunk. I was expecting a strong, cold weather brew, but you could enjoy this in mid-summer.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Tap at Caponeís and later at Victory. Pours a clear amber red with not much of a head. Nose is muted green coffee. Taste is cold, bitter, gritty coffee. Watery though clean mouthfeel. Good session beer underneath but coffee addition is just not needed. Pretty harsh as coffee beers go.

Pours a very clear amber with a medium tan head...nice lacing. Very subtle aroma has notable coffee and light roastiness. Flavor is slightly nutty and loaded with coffee but not bitter. Mouthfeel is fairly light and lively with a lightly roasted coffee finish. Tasty.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Clear brown pour, smallish head. Strong aroma of coffee and the taste followed suit. Almost the character of iced coffee. Some caramel malt is distinguishable under all the coffee. One dimensional, but I liked it.

Draft at Caponeís. Pours hazy brown with nose of earthy malt, significant coffee, hops. Tasted malty, brown sugary, with a medium coffee flavor, a good deal of backup hops, and a smooth finish.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Ruby-tinted brown pour with a tight off-white head. The aroma is quite coffee-laden. Herbal with a bit of light cherry as well. No astringency or vegetal notes either nor does it completely overwhelm the malts - it just lends a nice warm coffee aroma. Soft sweetness with some light sticky toffee flavour. It seems to thin a bit as it warms up but itís still a decent brew.

4.3 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
On tap at Churchkey. Served in a pint glass.
Pours a modest colored brown, probably closest to chestnut. Thin light tan head that persists throughout. Nose brings a really, really excellent combination of roasted brown malt and the pure essence of coffee. The two are in near perfect tandem. Taste brings the same thing, although the harmony isnít quite as present as it was in the nose, with the coffee a bit drier and the malt not as full. Feel is really nice with a good, dry medium body. Drinks incredibly well and I love the addition of coffee to a brown ale.
