Commercial Description:
A swirling dynamo of flavor, with a steady calm of satisfaction at its heart, that's Whirlwind Witbier. Offering a tamed tempest of flavors both spicy and sublime, this softly fermented ale greets the nose and tingles the tongue. Imported Belgian yeast charges Whirlwind with an energy all its own. It is a refreshing interpretation of the classic, Belgian 'white beer' style.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy golden yellow with a medium sized white head. Light banana and musky coriander, wheat, yeast. Just on the thin side of medium. Nice yeasty wheat with a little bit of esters. Finishes dry with a bit of yeast.

bottle from citywide. pours a clear golden with a medium offwhite head that fades quickly. Notes of earth, herbs, bread, pare yeast esters, spices, clove. really good light example of the style. Doesn’t pack as big of a punch as dancing man wheat, but could be dancing man’s little lady dance partner. who knows?

Bottle from Pizza Port bottle shop: Poured a hazy glowing yellow hue with a thick sediment cloud inside the liquid while the head was a gentle film across the top. In the nose, there are some medium scents of Belgian yeast with the usual spices accompanied in witbiers, but still this is too tamed for my nose. The flavor is nicely spiced and allows more ingredients to shine through such as coriander, clove and a light background of orange or tangerine peel.

Bottle. Light aromas all around with grain for the malt, lemon for the hops, musty for the yeast, with hints of apple and wood. Head is small, fizzy, white with no lacing and is fully diminishing. Color is hazy yellow. Flavor starts heavily acidic and finishes lightly sweet and moderately acidic. Palate is light to medium, watery and has a fizzy carbonation. It’s light and refreshing, but there’s not much in the way of complexity and depth. The tartness make me think I had a bad bottle. I’ll re-rate the next time I try it.

Bottle. Pours a hazy yellow with an orange tint and a white head. Aroma is full of sweet grains, a bit overly sweet. Flavor is quite sweet as well with grain and malt notes.

Bottle. Poured golden with a fizzy white head. Aromas of clove, wheat, and light citrus. The flavor is just the same. Light body and a clove aftertaste.

bottle - Pours cloudy yellow with some large yeast flakes. It has a thin, fuzzy white head. Bananas, citrus, and yeast dominate the aroma. The flavor is simlar. It’s sweet, light, and fruity with a touch of spice. Not bad at all.

This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a medium sized head of foamy finely sized bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a slightly hazy typically carbonated yellow-white colored body and a thick foamy lacing. The mild aroma was malty and coriander. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The thin flavor contained notes of malt mild hops and coriander. An OK brew just nothing special.
