COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bold, spicy, menacingly delicious HopDevil takes on an entirely new dimension when subjected to a wild yeast fermentation. A sharp, sourish edge has been added by this fermentations that plays into the caramel sweet malt deliciously and creates complex interplay with citrus accented hops.
Originally made in 2008-9, remade in 2014.

750 ml corked with no cage bottle (score! Thanks, Brenn79). Aroma is floral, piney, peppery, dusty brett, lemon rind. Pours hazy burnt orange with a medium beige head with good retention; leaves some cobwebby lace on the glass. Taste is earthy, bitter, citrusy, spicy. It’s a nice blend of two normally disparate styles, the IPA and wild yeast innoculated beer. It’s not sour at all, but the brett imparts that earthy dusty basement flavor that compliments the piney citrusy hops nicely. Palate is perfect for style. Nice experiment.

Bottle at home. Aroma is dirt, brett, grapefruit, grass. Pours a nice golden red hue with a nice fluffy head. Flavors are brett heavy with a solid bitter hop finish. Grapefruit and grassy notes with a distinct brett overtone. It’s pretty nice.

Bottle from The Bier Stein, Eugene. Pours a medium orange-amber, little bit of head. Aroma direct, juicy, arch, bugspray. Ech! Body slight, sweet butteriness. Not bad but hard to deal with the aroma. OFF!

750 corked n caged bottle- Pours hazy amber with a large slightly off white head that slowly reduces. Aroma is funky and tart, fruity and brett. The taste is brett, sweet, hops are definitely noticeable imparting a spicy character to the beer, pretty mild on the sourness, i wonder if some time would do it some good, maybe let the brettanomyces develop a bit, this was bottled a little over two months ago is all. As it sits in the glass, the brett character gets more prominent and so do the hops, i am very curious to see how this develops with time.

Draught at The Rake, London. Clear golden/copper beer with a nice lasting offwhite/beige head. Fruity vinous aroma, grapes, raisins, hops, some floral notes. Sourish vinous flavor, bready, hay, caramel, some alcohol. A bit put of style if you ask me...

Brett’s my sinu sees hoippies!! Love the victory! On tap at Mystery Brewing pub house, much tastier on tap than bottle! As seems to be with most craft brews these days! What do you say ? Can or bottle?? Of bottled , i think this bottle has the best cork method i have ever seen

Amber hue big off white head. Aroma of an amber big citrus hops some acetic, some caramel. Tastes sourdough funk, some dust, some perfume floral. Amber seems to clash here with the wild. Dusty doesn’t mix well with the sharp citrus/bitter of the hops. Syrupy moderate body. Bitterness seems to be coming from the yeast.
