COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bold, spicy, menacingly delicious HopDevil takes on an entirely new dimension when subjected to a wild yeast fermentation. A sharp, sourish edge has been added by this fermentations that plays into the caramel sweet malt deliciously and creates complex interplay with citrus accented hops.

No gusher w/ this bottle. I can’t find a date on it. First glass pours clear and sparkling orange with half liquid and half rocky head. Aromas of lemon and ginger pour from the glass. Very spritzy on the tongue. Flavors of more citrus, spice and even pineapple. Musky barnyard, if you take a big swig with your nose in the glass. A little dirty metal for the finish. Quite tasty, but not cohesive enough for a top grade.

Draft at Proof. Slightly hazy, golden pour with a fluffy white head. Aroma of funky yeast, lemons, citrus hops, and hints of sweetness. Flavor of funk, yeast spice and hoppiness. Dry tart ending.

On tap at Proof. Pours a clear golden yellow with thin white head and light lacing. Aroma of funky Belgian yeast and fresh citrusy hops. Taste follows, a hint of peppery spice. Solid, one of the best things I’ve had from victory.

A decent ale but really over priced. Similar to a tripel. Wouldn't get it again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Orange clear pour from a bomber. Tons of head. Spicy and tasty. This was under IIPA but definatly more tripel. Decent.

2008 bottle. Tulip pour of hazed amber yellow with two full finger head. Nose is malty, barely sour, quite spicy... Flavor is bleak, not sour... More like a lightly sour hefeweizen... Not pleasant. Bananas, clove, coriander... Not for me at all, not after I heard how sour it was

Bottle with Chris and Jay. Pours a cloudy amber with thick off-white head. Bottle was a couple years old so most of the hop aroma has faded but the funk has stepped up. Good barnyard funk. Time did this beer well. Really solid.

Pours a nice orange with a frothy off white head. Lots of sour citrus notes in the nose with notes of sour oranges, grapes, and grapefruit. The taste is light malt, restrained sourness, and some subtle hops. Wish it were more something....sour, hops, malt. Balanced too well for what it is. It’s pretty decent though.

(Bottle) Pours hazy deep amber with an off-white head. The aroma holds barnyard, dry wood, damp basement, bread, light resinous/grassy/citric hops, light honey, light caramel, dry toast, crackers, mould cheese and phenols (band aid and cloves). Hints of brown sugar and wet stone/minerals. The flavour light sweet to dry, light to medium bitter and light acidic with notes of mouldy/spicy/mild barnyard brett, tropical fruits, phenols, bready malt and mild citric/woodsy/resinous hops. The mouthfeel is tart, round and soft with a medium to full carbonation. Mouldy basement, wood, tart fruits, touch of malt and balanced hops on the finish. Light oxidized. Medium bodied.
