COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bold, spicy, menacingly delicious HopDevil takes on an entirely new dimension when subjected to a wild yeast fermentation. A sharp, sourish edge has been added by this fermentations that plays into the caramel sweet malt deliciously and creates complex interplay with citrus accented hops.
Originally made in 2008-9, remade in 2014.

On tap at Proof. Pours a clear golden yellow with thin white head and light lacing. Aroma of funky Belgian yeast and fresh citrusy hops. Taste follows, a hint of peppery spice. Solid, one of the best things I’ve had from victory.

Bomber thanks to tepp. Brown with a beige head. Berries and horse blanket. Perfumy and funky.

Amber body with a huge lasting 1.5 inch head. Typical sour smell with a hint of hops. Not really sour tasting though. Kind of sweet. Very Brett like, if that makes sense. Pretty good.

Pours mostly clear dark orange, big thick creamy of white head, nice lacing. Aroma citrus, floral hop, horse blanket phenols, slight bready malt, faint antiseptic note. Taste bitter citrus, floral hops, big phenolic notes as in nose, slight sweet bready malt to balance it out. Mouthfeel thicker side of medium body, medium carbonation, slight bitter astringent bite, dry finish. Overall very interesting, brett really adds to the complexity of the beer, not sure every ipa would work with it, but this one does for sure!

Pours dark reddish bronze with thick off white head. Smell is fruit, berries, yeast, citrus and hops. Almost like dessert wine. Taste is cherry, fruit, yeast, red wine and dry hoppy finish. Light body, light carbonation.

June 2014 bottle. Pours a transparent copper with a touch of white carb. Aroma is muddled for me, not offensive but can’t really pull much out. Taste is heavy on the caramel up front, lightly dried out by the brett. It’s too rich and sweet up front for my tastes.

Dark orange amber with slight rimming offwhite head; aroma is semi sweet and spicy; Flava has dry roasty malty notes blended with spicy(cinnamon) and hop notes; feels medium to light and moderately fizzy; finishes dry slightly bitter

4 oz draft pour at ChurchKey. Clear golden/amber with off-white head. Aromas of fruity notes, Brett, floral notes. Tastes of tropical fruit, citrus, light Brett, floral notes. Medium body with a dry finish. Good though the Brett may need a bit more time to develop.

Light and dry and funky, with a nice hoppiness backing it up. Good for drinking at shitty parties with your hoodrat friends.

Amber Copper in color. Crystal clear. Fruity spice nose banana and pumpkin pie spice. More spicy hops flavor followed by a Belgian yeast note. Overall, tasty.

Draught at Brouwerij Lane BK NYC. Pours clear copper with little head. Aroma is pretty basic pine and spicy earthy hops with citrus bitters and funk at the edge. Flavor follows. Not really sour. Basically just a mild IPA. Feel is watery and not lively. Not a great beer but not offensive. I would stick with standard.
