Pours a slightly hazy dark copper body with a three finger large bubbled off-white head that left some patchy lacing. Great nose! Nice perfumy hops work great with the delicate brett influence and the malt just stays quietly in the background. The hops are a bit too bitter for the subtle brett character, maybe if that was toned down a bit it would be better. Some caramel malt on the finish before the funk takes over. Dry crisp feel up front that fades to a softer more delicate finish. Lots of fizzy effervescent carbonation keeps it lively. I like it. A great twist on a really familiar beer.

Pours a hazy bright orange color with a big fluffy head that leaves lots of lace. The aroma is wonderfully funky with some nice horse blanket qualities along with some melon and unidentified fruitiness. The flavor is fruity and dry with some nice American citrus hops and plenty of funky twang to it. Notes of apple are detected on the finish. This is excellent excellent beer. hatchattack (29), Virginia, USA

It had a great aroma of pine and citrus/floral hops. You can taste the great caramel malts with the a good powerful strong sense of hops. smith4498 (963), Miami, Florida, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jan 4, 2010 Tap at Barcade. Nice brew. Strong, wild yeast aroma. Flavor is sweet like candy with just enough yeasty funkiness to keep things interesting. Anymore funk and I wouldn’t be such a fan. Some subtle maltiness adds to the pleasure. Very solid on the whole. 5000 (2900), Hardened Liver, Washington, USA

Pours a cloudy copper color with a big rocky white head that has fair retention. The aroma is strong with spicy fruits, perfume and something decidedly medicinal. The flavor has more perfumy floral crap but with a sour edge. The palate is full and smooth, with lively carbonation. The finish is short and dry. Overall: Not my cup o tea. nimbleprop (951), SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA

The aroma was a good mix of IPA and sour, a little funky, a little grassy, some lemon hops, some pine. Flavor was well balanced, lemons, grapefruit, grass, earth, slight caramel, light cracker, some lactic sourness. Medium bodied with a slightly sour finish. I might have tried this too late for the hops and too soon for the funk. nuplastikk (1261), Madison, Wisconsin, USA

Lots of sour funk in the aroma, as well as some crisp hops with citrus tones. Wow, the wild yeast really turn this one into a new creature. Bitter and hoppy still, there is an in your face sour edge to the beer, not quite as sour as an authentic lambic, more merged into the big picture.. There are also some smooth caramel malt tones. This is quite a unique beer, with a lot of flavors going on. The aroma has probably turned a little, considering the bottle is almost 9 months old. Very new school, experimental, and quite fascinating, I find myself reinterpreting this beer after each sip, noticing some other subtle nuance.
