COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bold, spicy, menacingly delicious HopDevil takes on an entirely new dimension when subjected to a wild yeast fermentation. A sharp, sourish edge has been added by this fermentations that plays into the caramel sweet malt deliciously and creates complex interplay with citrus accented hops.
Originally made in 2008-9, remade in 2014.

Amber body with a huge lasting 1.5 inch head. Typical sour smell with a hint of hops. Not really sour tasting though. Kind of sweet. Very Brett like, if that makes sense. Pretty good.

750 ml bottle purchased at Julio’s about 3 months ago, maybe should have gotten to it sooner. Copper color pour with lasting head. Aroma is mango, tangerine, mild Bretty yeast and soft malt.

Flavor is all about the yeast with some fruity hints and light shoe leather notes. Has a sweet aftertaste with the Bretty shoe leather lingering after the sip. Medium in body with a dry texture across the tongue. The yeast comes across really well, For me it’s only so-so.

Amber with giant white head. Smell is sweet fruity, caramel, hoppy, mild. Taste is an extension of the smell but big fruity and some funk. Just a tinge sour. Wonder if age would open this one up.

Bottle. Pours clear copper with fine bubbles, a annoyingly large creamy light beige head that leaves lots of lacing. Aroma of yeast, alcohol, basement funk, maybe a bit of smoke and pine tar. Flavors of sour cherries, fermented dough, caramel, yeast, lightly bitter and sour, average carbonation, light to medium body, and a brief sour finish. Interesting brew.

Interesting sour. Copper pour. Aroma was much more piney and dark fruity than I expected. Taste was bready, caramelly, piney, and had a tart finish. Slightly musty too. Interesting to say the least.

Bottle. Slightly hazy dark amber color with large spongy beige head, spicy caramel like aroma, high carbonation, slightly sour caramel taste, medium finish with citrus like aftertaste. Very satisfying to drink, not too sour or bitter.

Drucken på Stockholm Beer & Whiskey Festival, Nacka. Helt ok men hade nog väntat mig mer av denna. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From the corked, caged 750 ml. bottle. It is an attractive orange=amber pour with a lingering, white head. Lots of carbonation. The aroma is subtle rather than sour. I get caramel malts and a dose of bitter hops penetrating the nose. Medium to above-medium body. When I drink a sour/wild ale I expect to "pucker up" but in this case the sourness is very muted. I would barely know it was a sour/wild ale except for the description. Malts and a clean finish that lingers. IN that regard it was a highly enjoyable beer considering sours are in my lower 30% range for favorite styles. I could drink this one more often.

From a bottle. Pours opaque copper with a foamy frothy off white head and lots of lacing. Tastes like lightly sour raisin, dried fruits, grassy, toast. Light body and low carbonation. Smells like musky sour fruit, toast, straw, cracker malt.
