Commercial Description:
Bold, spicy, menacingly delicious HopDevil takes on an entirely new dimension when subjected to a wild yeast fermentation. A sharp, sourish edge has been added by this fermentations that plays into the caramel sweet malt deliciously and creates complex interplay with citrus accented hops.

On tap at Victory. Pours a mostly translucent amber with a bunch of golden notes and a medium creamy off white head that left lacing on the glass. Aroma of spicy hop notes, floral, citrus, some banana, brett and as it warmed a touch of barnyard. Flavor some the same spicy hop notes that in HopDevil, citrus, caramel, banana, horse blanket and caramel. This was quite interesting. I hope they decide to keep this one on as a regular and even bottle it. Will be interesting to see how some age benefits this beer.

(Draught) Pours a lightly hazy amber body with a moderate off-white head. Aroma of caramel, floral, mustiness, citrus, and funkiness. Flavor of citrusy hops, subtle sour funkiness, and caramel malt.

On tap at Blind Tiger. Aroma of pears, apples, earth, the color red. Flavor extremely interesting: sourness (more earthy than sour, but still sour), funk, spicy hops, tons of Belgian yeast (other than Brett), fruity/sweet esters (tangy mango, citrus, strawberry), a touch of pixie stix. A very nice mix of the Belgian yeast with that classically American base. Again, interesting is the best word (good interesting).

Tap at Blind Tiger. Pale amber coloured beer with a thin white head. Aroma is pretty nice, light pale malts, some crisp and lightly earthy character with a bit of minerally character over a lightly caramelly maltiness. The flinty bretty dryness is starting to show on the palate as well, underneath a soft zesty hoppiness. The beer will probably continue to evolve and dry out as there is still quite a bit of maltiness in the back. Fairly assertive spicy hoppiness. I quite like it.

Draught @ Victory: This one pours a hazy, orangish color. There is a small off-white head that leaves some lacing. Citrus hops to the nose, but a bit more subdued than the Hop Devil. Some malts in the aroma also. The taste is quite good. A bit of sourness from the Brett is noticeable. A good bit of hoppiness (grapefruit mostly on top), as well a fairly decent amount of malts. Some spices also. Very Nice!
