Pours a slightly hazy pale golden color with a big foamy white head. Aroma is fruity malt with spicy yeast and clove. Flavor starts out a sweet wheat grainy flavor followed by some fruity notes followed by spicy yeast and clove. Finishes out with sweetness. Pretty nice brew.

First of all I don't quite see the relationship of a Bavarian style of wheat beer to winter. That said this is a pretty good Bavarian style light wheat beer. I first had it a couple days ago and it seemed more bitter than it does today. The aroma is very fragrant and traditional for a Bavarian Weiss beer. Appearance likewise full fluffy off-white had plenty of Lace and a pale yellow color. Flavor is like aroma with the addition of a pronounced cereal character fairly dry. Not as fruity as the Bavarians. Fairly drinkable. Palate is a touch on the soft side. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

EBD 2/19/15. Pours a slightly cloudy pale golden with some flocculation. World Class head, lacing and retention. Nice nose of tropical hops, with a lemon rind note, over light biscuit. Quite nice elements of banana and clove are also evident and become predominate as it warms and the head finally dissipates (which took about 12 minutes). Light medium body with a slick texture that approaches oily. Above normal carbonation with a bit of effervescence in the middle and a prickly finish. The flavor profile is World Class - intense, complex and well balanced. It begins with a burst of very slightly bitter clove, tropical fruit and slowly fades to a pepper note in the middle over a light biscuit sweetness with just a hint of hop bitterness. As the finish begins, banana is evident and a lemon like tartness puckers the tongue. It finishes a bit dry and is slightly crisp. This is a very flavorful Hefe. Victory hit this one outta da park.

This is a really good winter ale. Lots of yeast and cloves flavors. Nice touch of hops. Very crisp with a slightly tart and dry finish. Very good.

Strong wheat malt aroma along with some spicy barnyard notes. Hazy, pale yellow with a dense white whip cream like head. Taste is Saison-like with a dryness and herbal spiciness. The body gets a nice fullness from the wheat. Finishes dry and lightly sweet with a lasting spiciness of coriander, cloves and grass. This doesn?t strike me as a winter beer, but it?s very tasty and refreshing.

On tap @ Place Pigalle. Mostly clear golden pour with a white head. Smells a bit like a hefeweizen with a bunch of bubblegum, cotton candy, clove, and citrus. Slightly grassy flavor. A lot of sweet bread and cotton candy. Somewhat spicy. Good amount of banana, orange, and lemon. Alright, I guess.

Bottle from Beer Study. Soft and hazy straw blonde pour with two fingers of creamy white head. Nose shows clove and other spicy phenolics with some raw bread dough and banana. Spicy flavor with notes of lemongrass, citrus rind, clove, and tropical fruit. Medium light bodied with a very pleasant spicy/zesty quality.

Freshly tapped 1/6 keg at my basement bar with three others on tap (Stone GoTo IPA, Flying Fish Oktoberfish and Harpoon UFO White). I bought this keg not knowing what to expect, as I never had this beer before. I have had plenty of Victory beers and they haven’t disappointed my yet. This beer was poured into a Duvel Belgian Tulip glass. A: Golden off-yellow murkiness is the best way to describe it. Almost non-existent head with lively carbonated lacing that disappears quickly. S: Wheat and citrus get my attention from the start. Hints of clove, light banana follow. Belgian yeast dominates though in a good way. T: Belgian yeast and citrus, unlike any typical winter ale but I like it a lot. So many flavors going on at once. Fruity, with minimal banana as with your typical "hefe" style. Peppery spices and cloves with a hint of lemon tartness. Interesting to say the least. M: Very creamy texture with the carbonation being spot on. Not to lively, but enough to wake up the tongue. A swirl of the glass brings out the booziness in this beer. A tad higher ABV than your normal "hefe" style, but aligned with your typical winter beers. O: As I mentioned before, I haven’t had a beer from Victory that I didn’t enjoy. Make no mistake, this is not your typical winter beer. If you are a "hefe" fan, as am I, then I would suggest you give this a try. You always roll the dice by committing to a keg without having tasted the beer first. I believe I chose well though with this keg. Enjoy.
