3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz bottle into a pint glass.
A: Pours a hazy straw color with lots of suspended yeast floaties in the body. The head is a three finger white shade. Its texture is very soapy, and its retention is decent. Splotchy patches of lacing are left behind. As a *witbier*, itís really good looking.
S: Thereís a nice spice note, evoking black pepper, coriander, and sage. Some wheat hides behind this nicely, coming out more strongly as it warms up. The aroma is inviting if not mindblowing.
T: In general, the predominant flavor is íspicyí. Note of coriander and black pepper give way to a finish of subtle orange peel. Wheat and candied sugar linger as secondary notes throughout. Really, itís just a slightly sweeter than normal witbier, but the execution is damn solid. The sweetness never gets overwhelming.
M: I love how crisp this one is. Thereís just enough sweetness to give it a thirst quenching quality, and the heartiness betrays its roots as both a winter ale and a high ABV wit. Carbonation is somewhat low for the style, and that helps its former qualities become amplified slightly.
O: This is not a dunkel, but a wit. And a good one. Itís one of those rare brews that would work in both winter and summer equally well. While itís not what I expected, it still managed to be a very satisfying beer - one that I could drink multiple servings of. Donít mind if I do...

Tap in easton pa. Light gold with small white head. Smells of yeast, banana, and some citrus, and maybe some spice. Nice aroma. Itís spicy on the tongue, then nicely warming and soft at the end. Really nice flavor up front, with yeast, citrus, banana. Finish is a bit more bitter than expected and could be better. Overall, it was quite good.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 oz. bb 14 Mar 2015. Pours a hazy golden-straw color with long legs that support a pillow of delicate, sticky foam on top. Aroma is bread yeast, citrus zest, clove and peppery grains of paradise. Taste is the same crisp mix. Long finish has some grassy-citrus hops and bubblegum. Well-balanced medium body has smooth carbonation and just the right touch of astringency to make this one very drinkable. Not your traditional winter brew, but nonetheless very tasty on a 30 degree (F) November day. Head-and-shoulders above the 70 or so wheat ales Iíve rated.

Lightly cloudy yellow, thin head. Smells corn and...mustard? Did I smell mustard? More corn in the flavor. Some coriander and clove, too. Weird. Not really my thing...

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12 oz. bottle from the Beer Store, Nashua NH. Straw color that is very hazy, lasting head retention. Aroma is wheat coriander seed and mild fruit. Much like a Belgian Wit.
Flavors is sweet grain, honey wheat bread, light floral hops and ending with coriander type spice. Orange peel may also be here. This reminds me more of summer but still a easy drinking wheat ale.
