12 oz bottle into a pint glass. A: Pours a hazy straw color with lots of suspended yeast floaties in the body. The head is a three finger white shade. Its texture is very soapy, and its retention is decent. Splotchy patches of lacing are left behind. As a *witbier*, itís really good looking. S: Thereís a nice spice note, evoking black pepper, coriander, and sage. Some wheat hides behind this nicely, coming out more strongly as it warms up. The aroma is inviting if not mindblowing. T: In general, the predominant flavor is íspicyí. Note of coriander and black pepper give way to a finish of subtle orange peel. Wheat and candied sugar linger as secondary notes throughout. Really, itís just a slightly sweeter than normal witbier, but the execution is damn solid. The sweetness never gets overwhelming. M: I love how crisp this one is. Thereís just enough sweetness to give it a thirst quenching quality, and the heartiness betrays its roots as both a winter ale and a high ABV wit. Carbonation is somewhat low for the style, and that helps its former qualities become amplified slightly. O: This is not a dunkel, but a wit. And a good one. Itís one of those rare brews that would work in both winter and summer equally well. While itís not what I expected, it still managed to be a very satisfying beer - one that I could drink multiple servings of. Donít mind if I do...

Poured into a hefe glass. 3.75 A: Murky dark yellow color. Two fingers of frothy white head. Retention is good and a half finger of lacing is left. 3.75 S: Good spiciness in this, just like any good hefe. Clove and pepper are equally potent. Neutral wheat, yeasty breadiness. Smells damn good. 3.5 T: The taste is good, but the nose is better. Less clove and pepper, but still some. Neutral wheat. The yeastiness is more powerful than the other flavors. Itís not bad, but doesnít stand out either. 3.5 M: Lighter medium body. Good lively carbonation. Could be creamier. 3.5 D: Itís okay, but doesnít stand out. ★ 615 characters DavoleBomb, Apr 05, 2014

Bottle says enjoy by march 15. Somewhat sterile aroma. Lots of rolling co2 in that glass. Big head. Taste is at first like a weizenbock then its more like a heavier wheat ale. Yes, becomes medicinal after a while. Has a bit of an alky kick to it. Not bad overall for a good punching wheat ale. Good creamy palate. Yes, wasnít nice at first but became more acceptable towards the finish.

Originally rated on 2/22/15. Pours a slightly cloudy pale golden body, the head was thick and frothy, but settled quickly leaving behind some decent lacing. Nose has lemon rind, light biscuit, and elements of banana and clove. Light medium body with normal carbonation. The flavor begins with slightly bitter clove, tropical fruit and slowly fades to a light biscuit sweetness with just a hint of hop bitterness. A nice bubble gum flavor in the finish. Overall i wouldnt hesitate to buy it again.

Bottled. Poured cloudy medium golden with a sticky white head. The aroma picked up nice orange meat and wheaty notes topped by more sour citrus, white spices, and floral notes.. really nice. The flavor found tangerine meat and smooth wheat on the middle, with cloves, orange peel, and other spices laced throughout.. finished tart and very refreshing. Lighter-bodied and well-carbonated.. this felt great on the palate.. excellent beer!

12 oz. bottle from Dutchís. Pours a pale, clear bright gold with a big white head. Notes of straw, bread, banana, clove, lemon zest, grass, mild spice, sugars, fruity esters, and wheat. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a dry, estery mouthfeel that suggests a Belgian yeast strain. Very mild spiciness. Not bad.

Pours slightly hazy amber with a thick and fluffy eggshell head. Wheaty aroma has yeasty, fruity, and subtle spicy tones, making the mouth go Pavlov. Flavor delights with wheat, banana, hoppy, grassy, and shy woody and cloves notes. Cheers indeed! Texture is fairly viscous, if not very fizzy. Let this give you some cheer any time of year.
