COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
With an enticing aroma, not unlike rich cocoa, this thoroughly authentic British porter satisfies with a full body and subtle finish. With its lush, dark malt character, this deliciously complex ale offers flavors of bittersweet chocolate and toffee.

A very smooth and satisfying porter. Not a significantly dark porter though. Does not have the extra bitter taste of a normal porter. Slightly more watery than I would have expected. Not overly viscous. Nice beigh head with a good bit of lacing.

Draft. Would have liked to have been patient and let this warm up a bit, but I couldn't wait. Perhaps I paid the price. My least favorite from this remarkable brewery. I anticipated more flavor packed into this one. Still, fine lacing and some nice toasty malt.

a good addition to the Victory family. had this on cask. very dark with a soft thin head. nose of malt and drinking cocoa. nice smooth chocolately taste with aslight bitter coffee finish. dense smooth palate.

Like everything else made by Victory, this beer is done with integrity. It really is a porter. That means it lacks bite — the mouth is soft, with almost no tannin. That also means the beer is relatively simple. Flavors are principally of dark malt, but without any sharpness or sweetness. There is some cocoa taste and enough bitterness to remind you of what these guys can do if you let them. In Workhorse they have produced a pretty good porter. It simply is not my choice to ride to Victory — they have so many other good and great beers to choose from.

Victory has changed their porter slightly this year (02). It is much tastier with a heavy coffee/cocoa taste that gets your buds singing. This is a truly excellent porter, although a little light in color, the flavor is big. You have to stick your nose in a pint and get a whiff - awesome aroma.

weakest of any victory beer I’ve had (by far). Drinkable but not distinct. Why go here with so many other great beers in the stable

Took a growler of this stuff home form Pizza Plant. and let me tell ya this stuff is not to shabby. Nice head on this one with a very dark brown color. a litle light in the body but not in a bad way. nicey and roasty also. if they bottled it i’d buy it often.

A good porter, very drinkable with nice sweet roasted coffee flavors. Not the best but a good effort.

Dark black color with a faint roasted nose. Coffee (espresso?) tone dominate. Not thin, but could have been a little heavier in the body. Overall a decent porter.

Very disappointed in this brew, not much body at all, kinda watery, good finish, much rather have a Yuengling or Brewery Hill Porter
