COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
With an enticing aroma, not unlike rich cocoa, this thoroughly authentic British porter satisfies with a full body and subtle finish. With its lush, dark malt character, this deliciously complex ale offers flavors of bittersweet chocolate and toffee.

A little disappointed in this beer from victory. Well crafted but not tons in the flavor department. Doesn’t hold a candle to fullers or great lakes.

UPDATED: JUL 13, 2004 Cask; gravity: Firm-bodied a,d failry grainy. Notably hoppy throughout laden with bitter coffee and roasted malts in the finish. Simplistic.

Slight coffee notes in the malt, but a little bland for the style. Easy-drinking but lacking in the flavor department.

A little too sweet. Could use more hop bitterness.

Nice roasted flavor. VERY drinkable. Good session beer. This beer is packed with flavor, but not too heavy.

Porters and stouts along with the seasonal bocks and fest beers are my most favorite styles. So I seek them out, this is a very could porter with a rich roasted malt aroma and has that semi-sweet slightly dry finish that I crave. Decent hops add a good balnce to the roasted grains.
