COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The tenacious grip of big, juicy hop aroma and character slides smoothly into rich, dark malts. This heavyweight battle between fresh, Yakima Valley hops and dark, roasted malts is resolved harmoniously as the flavors merge to deliver complex satisfaction with a warming edge. Enjoy the ‘twilight’ for the bright and brassy hops!

Taken from old notes. Deep ruby pour with a citrus nose. Taste is a smooth mix of bitter and sweet. Finish is long and bitter. Hides the 8.7% really well.

I passed my second Microsoft IT test for a certification this morning! It feels good to be done with all that reading, and now I am ready to celebrate with a six pack from Victory. The pour was amazing. The head reached the top of my Sam Smith pint glass after half of the bottle. The aroma was sweet figs and evergreen hops. The Yakima is a perfect late summer hop-harvest style beer. The fresh hops taste grassy and have a nice malt backbone to balance the strong bitterness. The finish has peach and pecan notes. The 8.7% is warming but not overwhelming. This might be the perfect late summer beer.

Very nice, very flavorful. Sweet and creamy mouthfeel. Fairly well balanced, a hint of nice raw flavor and a generally likeable beer

Bottled. Aroma hits you in the face with the floral hops. Poured a dark amber color. Taste of big floral hops, little roasted flavor, then some citrus. good brew

Thisis hard to classify. The flavor is complex. It has hoppy IPA characteristics but also it has some dark roasted malt flavor. There is a slight bit of bit chocolate. It is very interesting.

Bottle @ beerbistro, Toronto. Not black, but brown! Little nose, some nuts and caramel, no head. Quite flat taste. Despite the high ABV unremarkable. Caramel, dry, bitter. Ok.

Pours rich deep brown with a skinny head. Aroma of big malt and big herbal hops. Palate is a nice balance of sweet and bitter. Quite a tasty brew........,.....................................

On tap at Tony’s Place in Ivyland. Color is a deep rich red / brown. Head is not strong. Smells of hops hit your nose. Maybe Crystal hops? I would say this beer is more hop heavy than malt. Alcohol is well hidden under hop kick.

Dark caramel color with thick head. Unique malty hop taste, I can’t think of a comparable brew. Not as roasted as other Black IPAs.

A nice looking beer, deep reddish brown colour, with lots of cream coloured head and lacing. Nice floral citrus aroma. Hoppy bitterness with caramel, coffee undertones. A nicely balanced complex beer.
