COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The tenacious grip of big, juicy hop aroma and character slides smoothly into rich, dark malts. This heavyweight battle between fresh, Yakima Valley hops and dark, roasted malts is resolved harmoniously as the flavors merge to deliver complex satisfaction with a warming edge. Enjoy the ‘twilight’ for the bright and brassy hops!

Glad this finally came in at the bottle shop near me. Awesome hop explosion on the nose and the palate. With that kind of hop blast, you would think its overly dry or bitter, but it wasn’t. It was smooth as the malts mellowed out the finish. Just awesome beer.

A= pours into glass a dark ruby red, really dark with thick head that lasts a good while, leaving behind solid lacing. Aroma and Taste= sweet malts with some citrus pine hops in the background. Body= very thick without being too overpowering. Another outstanding winner from the great Victory Brewing. They never fail to please. Be careful, because at 8.7% ABV, you do not want to have more than a few

Long Island, NY - 12 oz. bottle poured a cola color with a hint of dark burgundy with decent off white head and minimal lacing. Though this is suppose to be a Black IPA aroma was more like a dark ale with dark fruit overtones and with a hint of hops. The taste was the same. Interesting beer, definitely worth revisiting. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a dark reddish brown with a small amount of off white head. The aroma is sweet and dominated by roasted malt with a little caramel and hoppiness mixed in. The body is medium and the taste is slightly bitter with a good mix of malt and hops as well as some coffee notes. This is much less hoppy than your typical IPA and I would best describe it as a combination of a hop devil and a storm king. As a matter of fact, the aroma is almost exactly the same as a storm king. I like it.

Sip this one slowly or you could miss all of the notes this beer has to offer. A lot of character and very satisfying. My new favorite beer. I probably would have never tried it either if I hadn’t lived previously.

Poured from a bottle into a chalice. Consumed on a patio. Pours dark rust brown with a generous tan head that leaves nice lacing. Aroma is citrus hops and malt that comes through amplified in the flavour. The dark malts compliment the pleasantly bitter hops beautifully. This is a perfect patio beer for early spring. An easy drinking dark IPA. I love it!

From bottle. Dark amber/brown pour with nice tan head. Not very clear but could be chill haze. Nice hop aroma. Good flavor and mouthfeel. A little lingering bitterness, but good balance between malts/hops overall.

Pours a dark reddish-brown with a big frothy tan head. Overwhelming scent of pine and hops. Taste is hops, hops, hops & HOPS. There is some mild maltiness that balances out the long, bitter finish but this beer is very intense and overwhelming. I’m not too sure about this beer. Perhaps just not in the mood for this style, Sadly this is the only one i have.

WOW! This pours out an amazing dark brown with great foam. It is like drinking a stronger version of hopdevil with a much maltier taste to it. Amazing beer.

Pours a dark roasted amber with a french vanilla head. The aroma is a pronounced pine crusted scent that reminds me of the holiday season. The initial hit to the palate is a stick of hoppy dynamite with loads of pine and sap coasting down the gullet.. The aftertaste is greatly prounounced with a malty flavor of marshmallows and syrup as seems to be the trend with most east coast coated IPAs and such. Good but a bit much on the malts as it dances dangerously close to porterville. Good, yes... Great, ehhhh.. maybe... Still the high degree of alcohol difficulty is a positive.
