muzzlehatch (4425), Burlington, Vermont, USA Aug 23, 2006 5 oz draft sample at the brewpub, late July 2006. Cloudy amber-bronze with a lasting white head and lots of floating berries, for whatever reason I always love that so points on appearance!....very fresh, overripe fruit nose, a hint of pale malt and honey shows through with effort....body is surprisingly more sour than sweet, fruit compote just lightly dabbed on sourdough biscuits with more than a bit of acid tang and even a peppery note to finish....gets a bit sweeter, and thicker, close to room temp. CharlesDarwin (1379), State College, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 24, 2006 Updated: Feb 10, 2006On tap at the Brewpub Cloudy pour, with a few blueberries in the beer. They leave a blue stain in the white head. Blasting aroma of fresh roadside UP blueberries staining your hand on a fresh hot August afternoon. They’d get more points for this, if that aroma didn’t come almost entirely from the added blueberries. Flavor is similiar, but much lighter, more subdued and with a light skanky lemon sourness. Quite thin and without backbone. Some spicy cardamon finishes the brew. fatguys (54), USA Nov 13, 2005 This is more of a novelty beer than a fruit beer. Served with acutal blueberries in the pint glass., which give off an effervescent aroma. This is a lighter wheat with a bit of a blueberry sweetness. Perhaps one of the most unique beers I’ve tried. Grab a seat at the Vierling with a Lake Superior view, order one of these, and enjoy. SuIIy (1109), W Newton, Massachusetts, USA Mar 1, 2005 I heard mixed reviews about this and had to try it. They place blueberries in the glass before serving it to you. Gives off quite a fruity taste, but it is different from other wheats with oranges or lemons in it. A little less citrusy obisbeer (554), Madrid, Spain Aug 30, 2004 Milky whitish gold w/blueberries floating , and a creamy white head. Blueberry nose, very fresh and clean. Light body, with faint hops on the finish. Blueberry throughout w/ no sweetness. Overall interesting, but not enough malt to support it or sour to balance it. Truth be told I did finish my glass, mainly I loved the fresh blueberries!
