Vierling Scottish Ale

On tap at the Brewpub Pours a deep ruddy orange clear. With a head of whitish. Light sugar and lemon aroma. Bright oaty and mellowed pipe tobacco flavor, that fades quickly to a thin sugar. Not much chewiness, or sustaining flavor. Efferevescent. Some earthy grain finish. Palate mostly watery and unfulfilling. Sessionable.

on draft at the brewery, labeled as their newest offering. unimpressively thin and bland, as i was looking for a rich caramelly malty scottish ale. amber color, with a watery finish. they could use about 50% more malt in this brew....
