Draft. A brown beer with a thick orange head. The aroma is sweet malty with lots of bread notes. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of straw, caramel, and bread. Nice, but a bit light bodied.

downender (6134) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - JUL 29, 2007
Bottle from Landbierparadies, Nurnberg. Amber coloured with a moderate white head and lacing. Aroma of caramel and honey. Flavour was also sweet, although with a nutty edge and a decent bitter finish. Enjoyable.

A Mes rate: 50cl bottle at Quinns. Smokey metalic nose. Dark amber body with reasonable head and lace. Malty flavour with a bitter smokey finish. Little thin in the palate. Straight forward but enjoyable enough.

Draught – GBBF. A dark chestnut coloured beer with a thick creamy off-white head. The aroma is nutty and malty but otherwise a little sparse. The taste is caramel sweetness over a lager base. Some nuttiness but a little boring and there is an unbalanced sweetness kicking in.

MoritzF (8389) - Bochum, GERMANY - JUL 26, 2006
(from the tap at the Biergarten of the brewery) Clear, dark brown with a ruby shine and medium-sized beige foamy head. Very aromatic nose of dark and toasted malt with toffee, milk chocolate and a dense herbal hoppy note. Bittersweet flavour, medium to light body, smooth carbonated mouthfeel. Malt-accented, toasty taste; dry, malty and moderately bitter finish with chocolate in the aftertaste. Clean, well-rounded and quaffable (17.06.2006).

jbrus (4992) - Delft, NETHERLANDS - JUL 2, 2006
Bottled. Aroma is like smoked milk mixed wit butterscotch. Interesting! How do you smoke milk? Brown colorm beige head, fair lace. Dark malts, bitter to very bitter in the finish, smoked finish. Sticky start and bitter dry finish. More light a light bock than a Dunkel.

On tap at the Brewery: Dark coloured; thick sweet-malty nose, shy bitterness too; small, stable head; robust bitter-sweet flavour, soft MF; lingering, bitter-aromatic finish. An excellent, spicy brew....................

duff (5484) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - FEB 11, 2006
Tap@Battersea Beer Festival. Very easy going, and it almost slips down your throat without you noticing. Some bready/grainy malt flavours, with touches of caramel. Very innofensive, and very neutral, but not in a thin boring sort of way.
