Countbeer (4302) - Best of E-Town mit ein Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - DEC 19, 2011
Bottle: Medium off white head, which disappears slowly, on top of an almost clear orange amber colored beer. Smell malts, caramel, herbs, some malty sweetness and a hint of grains. Taste is nothing spectacular but it has a nice kind of malty sweetness which is mixed into a medium bitter and herby tasting beer. The aftertaste is more bitter than the taste with some subtle autumn malty/herby flavors. Low to medium carbo, soft light tingly mouthfeel, medium body and a light watery texture.

Komisches Bier.Test vom 19.3.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche

CLear orange in color with a decent white head. Not much for taste, average crappy amber. Malty aroma.

Amber coloured beer with a medium head that should hold a bit longer, but it sticks ok. The smell is malts, spices, sweet. Light sweet tastes, caramel, malts, spices, dark fruits. A bit simple/plain.

Does not do much for me. Just another beer to put on my list of beers.

Bottle, 7 Oaks, Leuven. Amber body, good big white head. Chalky sweetish nose. Typical Belgian ale, sweetish, lighter than average, kinda spicy. Vague on the notes on this one, doesn’t stand out of the crowd but is a cute little beer.

330ml bottle (de la becasse, Brussels)
5+ Slightly emasculated dark grainy aroma.
4 Deep orange, small head
5 Slightly weetabixy retronasals. Again emasculated, but clearly roasted grains and a hint of husky hops.
2+ Watery palate, crisp carbonation. Finish dull husky grains.
12 Above scores seem a bit harsh, this is a very drinkable simple dark ale.

Ah, just like old times.... a 250ml bottle, extremely cheap, but from a good Parisian source. It pours average, a modest head and a modest light gold body; it smells of grains, fruitiness, and some hops. The taste is a murky bundle of wet grain, wet grass, rice; it has a smooth mouthfeel. It works, it’s nice, and very earthy like a bière de garde.
