Battle Axe is our flagship IPA style braggot. We took the light wildflower honey and combined it with a generous amount of Chinook, Cascade, Columbus, and Centennial hops. followed by a dry hop addition of Zythosto create an extremely floral and fragrant IPA. This IPA is a balance between the bitterness of all the hop additions and the wildflower honey, that leans slightly on the hoppier end. It is the Viking spin on our favorite Northwest style. Enjoy.

I actually like braggots and Viking is pioneering this area. The battle axe I light, aromatic and a slightly drier finish than a beer. All in all it's a good start. Note: this review is a week after tasting, hence the lack of defining notes.
Leave your pretensions at the door.

This is Viking Braggot Company’s IPA inspired Braggot. It’s easily one of their very best.

Poured from tap to glass. Light amber straw hue with white head. Aroma is floral, honey, ethanol. Mouthfeel is nice with light body and medium carbonation. Taste is dry with nice bitter following. Overall this is really nice and refreshing without being watery.
