1FastSTi (2402), Glendale, Wisconsin, USA Apr 10, 2005 Sampled at the 3rd Annual "Between the Bluffs" Beer and Cheese Festival in La Crosse, WI. Appearance is a bronze color. Non-existent head. Aroma is of honey, casky, grassy and orange (is this the honey flower?). Fairly strong, sweet aroma. Flavor is a sweet honey. Light caramel malts. Grassy hoppiness. Sweet apple/orange. Palate is lightly carbonated, very sweet, oddly refreshing given the sweetness. I could drink LOTS of this. VERY GOOD! jewedekind (450), Middleton, Wisconsin, USA Aug 20, 2005 On tap at Great Taste. Bronze with a thin white head. Aromatic and fruity with spiy notes like chutney. Flavors of apple, figs and pears. Slightly sweet, but fleeting due to alcohol (?). Judging from others, I think this has to consumed from the tap..or after a hundred other beers? Slick (1956), Minnesota, USA Sep 7, 2003 MABR-Light amber color, sweet honey wineish aroma.Sweet fruity apple honey taste, the after taste being much the same with an emphasis being put on the apple flavor more like green apple. It was definately a nice change from the usual honey brew. TheDean (784), MIlwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Aug 18, 2004 Updated: Sep 24, 2004Damn, thsi was good. Between this and the Big Sweed, Viking has quickly become one of my favorite breweries in the state. Just wish I could find their stuff around Milwaukee. stefanberggren (135), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Mar 21, 2003 A nice representation of a malt?/sweet sparkling mead that was a nice change of pace. Sweet with toffee and caramel tones. Good body and nice soft carbonation make this one a winner and great with dessert (chocolate cake or almond torte?) Note this is not the same as the honeymoon version which is lighter in color and flavor.
