3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 mzaar (890) - Varberg, SWEDEN - OCT 30, 2012
Flaska 33 cl. Svart öl med litet smutsvitt skum. Är förvånansvärt svaga dofter, men kaffe och mörk choklad finns där. Smaken är mycket bättre, det är sött och det är mörk choklad, vanilj och röda bär.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Countbeer (2856) - Best of Eindhoven ohne Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - OCT 25, 2012
Bottle: Thanks Tim:
Medium sized, airy but pretty vast tan/light brown head which slowly changes into a thick sticky lacing, on top of a deep dark black ish colored beer.
Smell malts, stingy malts, dust, coffee, cinnamon, wood, autumnal herbs and toasted herbs and some toasted/roasted malts.
Taste toasted herbs, light roasted malts, dusty spices and some dry wood notes, some darker chocolate, light bitterness and a lighter darkened sweetness, some hints of coffee, coffee roast, roasted barleys and roasted herbs.
Well balanced and pretty smooth.
The aftertaste is light roasty with some grass tints and a light bitterness.
Low to medium carbo, soft mouthfeel with a light spicy sprinkle, medium body and a light watery but a bit more creamy texture.
Interesting beer and very decent considering the alcohol percentage.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 rosenbergh (4664) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JUL 6, 2012
330 ml bottle. From Iceland. Þakka þér Jere!
Black colour with small greyish tan head.
Sweetish malt, liquorice, brown sugar and touch of soy sauce in aroma.
Flavour is very malty. Not roasted but grainy and a bit burned. Some sweetness accompanied with mild alcohol. Thinnish for Stout but kind of heavy for Schwarzbier so this is somewhere in the middle. Some sweetness that won’t be quite Schwarzbier-y. Well it’s very drinkable and somewhat enjoyable but it’s not quite hitting the spot. It’s not bad far from it. Just something’s missing.
