Our Stout was first produced in 2008 and was the first Icelandic Stout. Dark, roasted aroma, espresso beans, dark chocolate and cocoa are words that can be used to describe our Stout. It is intense in texture and character, yet relatively easy drinking and balanced.

Poured from a bottle at sunset in a beautiful and remote spot in Iceland. Creamy head. Low carbonation. Very well balanced with a mild roasted malt flavor and a hit of hops in the finish. Overall a very enjoyable beer.

330 ml bottle. From Iceland. Þakka þér Jere!
Black colour with small greyish tan head. Sweetish malt, liquorice, brown sugar and touch of soy sauce in aroma. Flavour is very malty. Not roasted but grainy and a bit burned. Some sweetness accompanied with mild alcohol. Thinnish for Stout but kind of heavy for Schwarzbier so this is somewhere in the middle. Some sweetness that won’t be quite Schwarzbier-y. Well it’s very drinkable and somewhat enjoyable but it’s not quite hitting the spot. It’s not bad far from it. Just something’s missing.

Bottle @ hotel room, Reykjavik. Deep brown/black appearance with a tan head that dissipates somewhat quickly. A little smoky, anise, dark fruity, chocolate aroma. Rich dark cacao, espresso, chewy anise, lightly burnt/smoky flavor. Nice brew.

Pours black with a moderate amount of foam. Roasty oily appearance and smell. Initially it seems to hit the style, but hits burnt parts and then not drinkable.Ratheraverage mouthfeel for this style. Thanks Pino.

From bottle at SlovakSniper & Rodenbach99 Iceland super tasting, merci beaucoup Yan, Yan et Pat! Black pour with a whitish head. Slightly roasty, meaty and smoky aroma, very baltic-porter like. Good roasty taste, kind of watery though - the palate really falls apart on this one. Still, drinkable.

(Sample at rodenbach99 Iceland beer festival) Very dark brown liquid with a ring of foam. Nose is a bit off, some weak roasted notes with chocolate and light coffee. Something like a schwarzbier. Mouth is about the same with small roasted pieces. Palate is on the medium side with a good carbonation and a watery texture. Aftertaste is very short with fantomatic roasted notes. Many thanks to Yan for bringing back this bottle from Iceland.
