3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from Vinbudin in Reykjanesbaer (BB Oct 2014). Head is initially small, frothy, off-white, mostly diminishing. Body is dark amber. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (molasses, bread, toasted grain), lightly hoppy (apricot), lightly yeasty (dough). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery/syrupy texture, lively carbonation. Another mild, easy-going Icelandic brew, but decent enough with no glaring flaws.

1.2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
UPDATED: NOV 17, 2012 very faint malty aroma, pours a dark brown with a firm head. Taste is explosive, loads of malty goodyness going on, tingling carbnation with long lasting bitterness. To cut things short, this is better than in Germany! world class beer from VÝking .. (thought I would never say that!) 3.9
Faint nose, almost nothing. Extremely metallic on the tongue, like licking dirt from the floor. One of the most foul beers I┤ve had this year. WTF happened to this brew??
