About Packaging Víking Lager Up The most popular draught beer in Iceland for some years, Viking Lager, is now also available in cans. It is pleasantly mild with a slightly sweet flavor. Less filling and more refreshing than many other beers, Víking Lager has an alcohol content of 4,5%, making it ideal for those who prefer a medium-strength beer with less bitterness.

Well, this is my last can of Viking in the house and I’m glad. Drank from can cause I wasn’t even motivated to pour it into a glass to dirty it. It’s one of the better of the 5 pack I was gifted, but I won’t be searching out this stuff again.

500 ml can. BB 05/07/2015. (Tax Free) Keflavík Airport, Iceland.
Clear yellow golden colour with a small foamy white head. Almost no aroma... weak... no there is not aroma at all. The flavour is malt and mild earthy notes... Bad.

Pours a clear pale gold with a small frothy white head that leaves some lace. Aroma of faint fruity esthers and some sweet pale malts. Taste is sweet pale malts with some fruity esthers... Rather thin and watery. One of my least favorite Iceland beers thus far.

50cl can from Vínbúðin, Borganes. Pours clear golden with a small, white head. Mild grainy and vegetable aroma with hints of fruits and possibly a herbal hint too. Medium sweet and not much of anything in this one. Watery, boring and slightly unpleasant.

Gul, klar farge med hvitt tynt skum. Lukter malt, søtt og litt sitrus. Lettdrikkelig og noe oljete i munnfølelse. En helt ordinær lager.

From a can. Light yellow, with white head that dosnt last. Little lacing. Mild sour sweet skunkiness in the aroma. Mild taste, sweet malt, with a hint of hay, little bitterness in the aftertaste, a hint of metal. High in carbon

Bought from Dan Murphy’s in Adelaide. Clean inoffensive taste, bit of maltiness on the aftertaste. Bordering on the bland. Would probably go down well, icy cold on a hot summer’s day. Bought one bottle out of curiosity and won’t be rushing back to buy anymore.

Pours a golden colour with heavy carbonation and topped with a white head that collapses quickly. Not much in the way of aroma, some noble hops and a bit of grain. The taste is inoffensive but bland, with some corn with a light lemony overlay. Pretty refreshing when cold is about the best that can be said for this one.

Bottle 5.6% This enjoyed at the Perl in Reykjavik The pale lager poured a clear gold color with white frothy head. the beer had a fresh taste some hint of bitterness at the finish. The medium body beer had average carbonation. This lager had more taste of hops then most of the Iceland beers. Very drinkable. The bottle had a hiher alcohol then listed here.
