Bottle, 14th St NW, Washington. A surprise. It’s bright and hoppish, with a nice lagery finish. Bought for me, thank you to the random people I met that night, in order to decrease this bar’s supply of the beer. But I found it exceptionally well tasting for a cheap session beer.

Nothing really interesting about it. Also, got this at Brickskeller. It was a typical light lager flavor, like Stella but even a bit more watered down. Sometimes I like a beer with not much going on.

This is a pale lager much like Heineken or Becks, but it has a bit more flavor and is less skunky than those beers. This beer is also a bit sweeter and has more body than the two previously mentioned beers. It is also fairly easy to drink.

Bought a large can in Iceland and poured into a pint glass to drink. The beer has a clear gold color with a few rising bubbles, a foamy-bubbly white head with decent retention and little cling. The aroma was primarily grainy and grassy hops with a touch of straw and a faint hit of malt. The taste was mostly bitter with a grainy flavor, and had a sour element too it as well. The beer had pretty good liveliness and carbonation, and was fairly dry, with a slight thinness.

Well, this is my last can of Viking in the house and I’m glad. Drank from can cause I wasn’t even motivated to pour it into a glass to dirty it. It’s one of the better of the 5 pack I was gifted, but I won’t be searching out this stuff again.

Huge white head. Clear yellow body with light carbonation. Light floral aroma, nothing more. Sweetish fruity floral taste. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dryish floral fruity aftertaste with hits of spice. Very little flavour, but clearly a well-made beer. Lacking bitterness. Very clean, but still can’t give it high scores. (0.5l can, from Vinbudin Egilsstadir.)

UPDATED: DEC 4, 2007 Bottle as extra from Maria to grab me Iceland. I had a flashback to the steel reserve I rated earlier this summer. Corn and adjunt nose that is thck and sweet. A big corn and malt push with no dicernable hops at all. Some grassiness but that is probably general funk not t be confused with hops. Body waters up pretty quick for thinner finish. Not absolutly horrible, but not to0 far from 40 Oz. status.
