2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Good to pick this one up at Dan Murphy's as it reminded me of my holiday in Reykjavik. Awesome city, not much of a beer. Pale straw with minimal head. Aromas of dead yeast, malt and citrus aromas with a very short finish.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
A clear golden beer with a stable foam head, malt aromas prevail like honey and dough, clear taste with a good balance with hops. Really enjoyable.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
With a very Germanic depiction (Johannes Gehrts), Odin looks more like a semi-naked Vercingetorix with a spear across his neck. Unfortunately the beer is not as heroically grandiose. Meh for the faint aroma of malts and Saaz, and meh for the ordinary malty honeyish flavour, soapy and straw dry, with a very thin film of hoppy bitterness, more like an aluminium foil covering it. The appearance is thin lemony yellow. I’m still hoping to drink one day some Icelandic beer as powerful as a tectonic plate. They could call it Dimmu Borgir, I suppose.

1.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
Bottle - Pours pale straw with a big frothy white head that pops pretty quickly. Aroma is cardboard and straw and something a bit plastic. Taste is worse. Not good.

1.1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20
A little questionable on the brewer and the amount of Aussie’s who have rated this one. Weighing in at 4.4% ABV now but with no distinguishable information available about it I suppose it is on to the tasting. Exploded once the cap came off so into the flute it goes, quick like. An effervescent straw gold and bright. Head is up then it falls flat to settle a mere wafer of white. Aroma of sodden cardboard, reams of paper, band-aids. Soppy, sloppy and soapy mouthfeel - oh yeah the three S’s! Light bodied and strained for flavour. Just a continuation of the aroma making it difficult to find positives. Sub-par by a long shot! 1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20
330ml bottle. Pours a clear pale to medium gold, with a small white head, which fades rapidly without leaving much lacing. The aroma is very bland, with cardboard, soap and faint grassy hops notes. Very mild, nondescript hops up front lead into cardboard and plenty of adjunct grains in the mid-palate. There is a touch of sweetness to the finish. All in all, this is just another boring lager.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
UPDATED: JUN 5, 2013 330ml stubby BB 08/2013. Poured a clear golden colour with a one-finger white foamy head that retained OK and laced OK. High carbonation as seen by small to medium bubbles forming many trails. Aroma of malt and musty grain with sweet/floral notes. Taste up front quite sweet and mildly malty but no detectable hops bitterness (which may be hidden by the high carbonation). Light body. A crisp mouthfeel. Crisp clean smooth but rather bland finish. Very lager-like.

1.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20
One of the worst pilsners I’ve had. It even said it was brewed from the fresh waters of Iceland. IF this is what’s produced from the purest waters in Scandanavia, I don’t want anything to do with it.

Not sure if it was because I’m coming of night duty and my mouth is dry or because I Havnt had a lager or pilsner in a while but found this crisp and refreshing filling the need I had at the time.

1.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
Bottle, as Viking Pilsner Bjór, 4.4%. Pours a clear yellow with a small white head. Aroma is pretty thin of some malt and maybe brewing cereal. Taste is lightly malty and not much else. Inoffensive but very boring.
