Bottled: Black color, creamy brownish head. Malty aroma, dark chocolate and lots of cacao. Also fruitiness and notes of molasse. Flavor is malty, light sweet and very tasty. Also intensive notes of dry cacao, chocolate, fruity. Finish with roasted malt and roasted malt bitterness. Very tasty stout with pleasant cacao notes.

Thanks Mirjukka for bringing this over from Iceland. Black beer with beige head. Roasted and licorice aromas. Full body and flavour with some sweetness. Not bad at all for a sweetish stout.

Bottle from Vinbod.
Lovely aroma of coffee and chocolate. Light and smooth, yet fine body. No need to drin any boring Irish stout in Iceland if this is available. I’d love to try this on tap!

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Thanks to turdferguson for sharing this and dickinsonbeer for sending it to him. Pours a dark black with some light and a one finger crisp light tan head. Looks nice. Nose is earthy, sweet, some light caramelly notes, English leaning. Flavor is roasty, some diacetyl, mild grain bitterness, sweet/caramel notes, leafy hop feel. Palate is crisply carbonated with a mild bitterness and residual sweetness.

Medium brown head. Barely translucent dark red body. Fruity chocolatey earthy aroma, kind of weak. Dry-sweet smoky earthy chocolate taste with fruity notes. Mid-bodied. Sweetish papery licorice chocolate aftertaste with earthy notes. Quite nice. (0.33l bottle from David L.)

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from Hauker, but also drank a few times in Iceland. Bonus points for this rating, I’m drinking it from an authentic Víking imperial pint glass, something I’m sure very few own! This beer is very bready and steamy, reminds me a lot of the thermal areas in the country, as well as this crazy flatbread we had there. Hmm. The graininess is nice though. More kind of sour mash grain in the flavor, a little bit of roast and some steamy malts. Kind of a round, spongey mouthfeel. Very easy drinking, though maybe that is because I just got back from the gym. Anyway, I quite enjoyed this stout.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
A second beer from Iceland from Eugene. Poured a clear deep golden brown color with a thin off-white head. The beer smells like roasted water with light smoke. The flavor was also light with some roasted notes. Thin finish.
