Nice Ungstrup (11353), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jan 10, 2008 Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel and cardemomme. The flavor is sweet malty with strong notes of cardemomme, leading to a dry spicy finish. Thanks Papsoe. Maria (4344), Thisted, Denmark Feb 1, 2008 The 2006 version wasn’t very "Christmassy", but the brewer has taken revenge, and both aroma and flavour makes me think of brunkager (Danish Christmas pepper cookies). The color is dark reddish-brown with a nice and creamy head. As mentioned the aroma makes me think of brunkager, and the most dominant spices are cardamom and cinnamon. The flavour has the same notes, but also sweetness, roasted malt, a bit of fruit and the finish is slightly spicy bitter and rather dry. Skinnyviking (2724), Copenhagen, Denmark Dec 28, 2007 Bottle. High fluffy and quickly disappearing off-white head. Hazy orange red body. Coriander dominated aroma. Coriander of course also evident in the flavor which is otherwise relatively mild sweet and round with raisins cinamon and generally vineous. Low carbonation and short aftertaste. Thomas_E (5065), Copenhagen, Denmark May 5, 2008 Light hazy reddish colour with a beige head. Malty, fruity and quite spicy aroma. Light roasted malty flavor with notes of fruit and cardemomme.
