COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Despite it’s name, this is a serious brew unsuited to tawdry puns. It is a finely crafted, unfiltered wheat ale in the Belgian tradition. The colour of straw with a delicate white haze, Wit has crisp flavours accented with orange zest and coriander. A classic. So get into Wit

330 ml bottle. Pours a hazy yellow with a large, short lived, fluffy white head that laces. Aroma of coriander, orange, wheat and yeast. Sweet flavour with orange, coriander, yeast and wheat with a mildly sour, dry, bitter finish. Light body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. Refreshing.

A boring but refreshing wit. Pours a cloudy, light lemony yellow with a heavy finger of white head. The aroma is light, toasted wheat, pinch of coriander and lemon peel/orange rind notes. Refreshing and clean up front with a light toasted wheat malt, corainder, pepper, grassy hops. Not bitter. Well balanced.

Quite bland for a wit but very smooth. Standard citrus taste and tasted a bit of spice towards the end.

UPDATED: APR 20, 2015 Supposedly a Belgian White (witbier) styled offering but turned out to be a skanky mess of off-scented aromas. Flat and offensive, I think that there was something wrong with this keg. Staff "checked into the keg" and told me there was nothing wrong with it but I cannot believe this is what Village Brewery intended. Dumped it and switched to Stella. Will give it a go another time. Second attempt: A much better offering this time. Colour is a hazy, pale gold. Floral and citrus on the nose and tastes of weak witbier but not watery. Some citrus and slight coriander to taste. Refreshing on a warm day. Offered a taster and turns out that it was a completely different colour than my first attempt. A proper pint this time and not too bad!

Bouteille(Merci, Jonas!):Cloudy, yellowish coloured, quickly collapsing white foamy head; moderate citrussy-wheaty nose with a solid yeasty background; moderate sourish-bitter flavour, covering a subdued sweetness; light bodied, but not watery, and soft; lingering sourish citrussy finish with one very delicate trace of coriander. O.K., just refreshing…

0.33 bottle. Milky yellow, low head. Light minerally and spicy aroma. Medium, ok chewy body, fruity base, apples, oranges, grape, light on the perfume, pleasant hop counterpoint. Nice fresh wit which doesn’t dwell too much on the usual trappings but just is a nice moreish brew.
