COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Despite it’s name, this is a serious brew unsuited to tawdry puns. It is a finely crafted, unfiltered wheat ale in the Belgian tradition. The colour of straw with a delicate white haze, Wit has crisp flavours accented with orange zest and coriander. A classic. So get into Wit

Draft at Boxwood. Looks nice. Stable big tight frothy head that wont stop, loads of poppin fresh pale malts in the aroma, no yeast overload, super soft palate, light, big coriander and orange flsvors up front leading to mellow malty middle. Sweet finish starts to cloy after a pint but still is a nice brew.

0.33 bottle. Milky yellow, low head. Light minerally and spicy aroma. Medium, ok chewy body, fruity base, apples, oranges, grape, light on the perfume, pleasant hop counterpoint. Nice fresh wit which doesn’t dwell too much on the usual trappings but just is a nice moreish brew.

Looks gorgeous, big fluffy head, and vibrant yellow colour. Aroma has light spice. Soft body, tastes a bit like apricot yoghurt. Mellow, sweetish finish.

On draft at Earls in Banff. Pours a cloudy gold. Light lemon nose. Flavors of citrus. Light refreshing finish.

Bottle pours hazy gold with a tremendous white head that leaves a bit of lacing as it slowly dissolves. Aroma is tangy lemon and wheat. Unfortunately it’s downhill from there. Taste is tart with no sign of the promised coriander and not much wheat.

Draft sample during Calgary International Beerfest 2014. Hazy blonde body, sweet orange-kissed wheaty profile, a little sweaty, light spice.

33 cl bottle, Calgary, AB, Canada. Hazy yellow, thin head. Yeasty citrus aroma. Slightly thick. artificial citrus flavour. Like a Blue Moon with the orange added.

Rating #848 - December 21, 2013 - From the Village Square Mixpack at Co-op. 4.5%. Hazy golden pour, but haziness fades as sediment seperates, leaving a bubbly lager appearance. Aroma has a hint of wheat, and a herbal whif, mixed with some malt sugar. Taste is pretty much the same, a malty dominance with hints of wheat character built in (wheat, citrus, etc.) Finish is dry and crisp. This beer is light and refreshing, and would make an excellent patio beer.

I do like pairing puns and beer! Lightly hazy yellow with minimal foam that easily builds with a quick swirl. A bit of banana and tart lemon zest scent. Tart dry flavor. A nice balance of tartness and yeast. Straight forward with a touch of adventure in the yeast profile.
