Bottle. Clear amber color, medium white head. Aroma of citrus and caramel. Taste is more citrus. Not very tripley.

33cl bottle. Dark golden colour with a white head, moderata lasting. Aroma is yeasty, alcoholic and sugary. Flavour has notes of Belgian yeast, sweet, bready and alcoholic. The final is slightly bittery and sweet, good balance. Carbonation is medium. Body is medium to high. Texture is oily.

Bottle @ home... it pours golden with a medium white head.... The aroma is fruits, hoppy, some honey and Belgian yeasts..... The flavor is yeast, hoppy, some citrus and with some bitter light alcohol finish.......

Bière très décevante de chez Huyghe, qui n’a pourtant pas trop de bières d’abbaye à défendre... Donc : ou la recette des moines étaient bien maigres, ou le brasseur n’a pas fait ce qu’il fallait pour la reconstituer … Je vous laisse choisir. Déjà l’étiquette est banale. La lie se mélange à la bière au versage. La mousse est assez quelconque. La levure est bien trop faible pour une abbaye. Les arômes sont simples. L’équilibre du goût n’est jamais atteint... Bref, ce n’est pas avec ce genre de produit que les ruines de l’abbaye vont se relever. Elles sont pourtant bien jolies, ces ruines, et peut-être qu’elles ont fait passer la bière à la ruine aussi. Donc on ne se fatigue pas, et on se promène sur ce beau site (réel … et pas virtuel), sans trop s’attarder à la dégustation. Delirium monasticum....

Pours a bright golden yellow color. Active carbonation throughout the session. Aromas of hops, fruit, and a little yeast. Has a light fruity citrus taste, with some yeasty notes.

Bottle @ home. Clear yellow / golden color, decent sized vast white head. Smell malts and hints of some sourness. Taste malts, sour-infected. Not good. Decent carbonation, medium body. If it’s ment to be a tripel it’s a failure imo.

Small white head. Clear yellow body with floaties. Deep fruity mealy aroma with herbal chalky tobacco notes. Dry-sweet tropical fruit taste with chalky grassy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild mouthfeel with some heat. Dryish fruity metallic aftertaste with mealy alcohol notes. Well. Not very impressive, frankly. Lacking in flavour, and with some off tastes. (0.33l bottle, de Bier Tempel, Brussels.)

330mL bottle. Pours golden with white head quickly falling to lace. Smells of alcohol, bitter hops and nuts. Taste is nutty, a little spicy and alcohol burn.
