Hazy yellow with a big white head. Big sweet apple aroma. Taste is fairly dry and acidic and spicy. It’s well carbonated, and burns a bit going down, actually. €2

This beer smells wood and hops. Aromas are malts, hops, spices and alcohol. A well-balanced tripel.

Dark golden beer with a white head. Yeasty and toffee-like nose. Spicy but also sweet taste. Well balanced. Medium bodied; soft carbonation.
2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 DeanF (1537) - Iqaluit, Nunavut, CANADA - NOV 4, 2010
Huge head even when chilled, boring yellow body. Aroma is a lot of malts with a perfume of hops hovering over it. Taste is a whole big mess of hops and alcohol, like every other Huyghe brew gone wrong - crisp hops and booze, the essence of Belgian brews, but not necessarily always having to be so forthcoming. Désolé, as they say, it’s a harsh mess - and yet, still drinkable.

Bottle from Beer Mania. Golden body with medium head. Quite sweet and malty. Enjoyable. Taste of sweetbread, sugar, malts, caramel and lots of nice things. Syrupy texture. Nice one.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 imdownthepub (8470) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - JUN 16, 2010
Bottle conditioned, 330ml aged 5.5yrs. Orange gold with full white head. Slightly volcanic on opening, this proved to be quite a spicy beer, corriander, some clove, despite the aging. There is a fruitiness that was quite like an over ripe pear within the flavour, quite perfumed. On the whole pretty decent with a strong alcohol nose in the finish.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 KyotoLefty (4727) - Kyoto, JAPAN - MAY 1, 2010
Bottle, one day past its expiration date. Dark honey gold with floaties and a head that goes right to lace. Fruity aroma, with biscuity malt and honey, pears and melon. Malty flavor with honey. Sweet, with a touch of citrus, pears, slight grass and spice. A rather unremarkable tripel. Rather heavy body, with a shitty, dull after taste. The lack of any hops left certainly does not help the overall effect.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 judasbeer (431) - Budapest, HUNGARY - JUL 24, 2009
Clear golden with fluffy white head. Sipcy, sugar candy aroma with hints of molded cheese. Lot of fruity esters in the aroma with medium yeasty thickness. Quite harsh alcohol edge at the medium.
Slightly peppery spicey finish.
Pleasant tripel overall.
