En fût. Pinte dégustée chez Šnekutis Old Town (Vilnius, Lituanie). (Rating #4186)

Tap at Vilniaus Alus. Deep brown pour with a tight white head. The aroma is softly toasty with a little bit of soft sweetness. Lightly yeasty with a touch of dark graininess. A nice soft malt character. The beer is light-bodied but interesting enough to get through pretty easily. Not fruity, but there is some yeast contribution.

Schroppfy (2360) - Łódż, Warsaw, Poland; Michigan, Ohio, USA - NOV 23, 2010
Bottled version, 5.6%. Smell of caramel, soft bread, slight spicy hops (grass and pine). Flavor is sharper, refined, sweet and sharp, hoplike (pine) yet with toasty brown sugar. Good. Very drinkable. Best before April, 2011, fresh on the shelves of Piwoteka.

Big beige head. Reddish amber body. Sugary caramelly herbal aroma. Dry-sweet herbal fruity licorice taste with notes of lots more unidentifiable herbs. Soft, mild mouthfeel. Mid-bodied with some heat. Dryish fruity caramelly aftertaste. Strange beer, with lots going on that’s hard to analyze. My throat grows hot, but not the mouth, weirdly. The bitterness is sort of in the background, but still quite strong. (0.33l draft at Snekutis Old Town.)
