2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
UPDATED: MAY 30, 2013 bottle best by October 2013. Lightly hazed gold body with a small white head and no retention. Very faint nose of grains, yeast, water, honey, air... Syrupy malt texture, creamy carbonation, softer than most Šviesuis, and lacks the overt flaws seen in so many Lithuanian beer. Drinkable but plain and uninteresting.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
My Bottom Line:
Lightly caramelized cereals and straw build a chewy body for what is meant to be a quencher.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam covers the hazy amber-hued dull blond.
-The soft prickling of carbonation increases drinkability.
-The flavor profile is delicate, but forgettable.
-Hops whisper bitterness into the finish.
-This is not bad by any means, but I’d rather drink their Kvietinis for quenching purposes.

Small offwhite head. Hazy paleish yellow body. Papery mealy floral strawy aroma with spicy carraway notes. Dry-sweetish papery mealy floral taste with spicy herbal notes. Light body. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Dry oily grassy aftertaste with spicy notes. Decent, but a bit thin and boring. (0.33l bottle, Bamb Alyne, Vilnius.)

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
(Rating #4209)

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: JUN 29, 2012 In short: A basic thirst blonde lager. Unspectacularly drinkable
How: Tap at Alaus Namai, Vilnius, Lithuania
The look: Almost clear blonde body topped by a persistent small white head
In long: Nose is fresh cereals, a tiny bit of that characteristic Lithuanian countryside toasted hay and fruity notes. Taste is crisp hay-like cereals, fruity notes of oranges, dusty yeast, light honey-caramel sweetness. The orange flavor adds a strange acidity in the after-taste. Very active carbonation. Nothing remarkable here. Strangely I preferred the tap at Alaus Namai over the tap at brewery beer bar. The tap at Alaus Namai had a softer carbonation and I didn’t note the acidic orange flavor. That’s strange. Quite drinkable but also not interesting, basically I’m not sure if I liked this beer or not, although I usually hate when people are vague, I think that vagueness may even annoy me more than some other stuff. Maybe.
