3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours an excellent clear amber with lasting tan head and great lacing. Aroma is sweet and malty. Taste is more brown sugar malty sweetness, with some hops that follow to balance out a bit. Very English, with no fruit or pine in the hops. Not bad.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
This isn’t really all that evil. In fact, a more appropriate name might be, "Friendly, Approachable IPA". It poured with a really massive, foaming head--the kind that makes you pour super slowly and even then it fills with so much head you have to let it sit for a minute before filling the second half. I bought my growler on a Saturday and cracked it the same day, then capped it and put it in the fridge. When I opened it again on Wednesday, it was at the perfect level of carbonation for my preferences. As for the taste, it was highly subdued, with a nice hop bouquet but a very balanced malt body that gave it a somewhat caramelly, English IPA quality. It wasn’t that far on the spectrum, to be sure, but there was nothing dominating on the front end or slapping you on the backend. No alcohol notes to observe. Very easy drinking IPA. Growler from brewery.
