21iceman40 (1671), north little rock, Arkansas, USA May 17, 2008 A solid stout. Not a huge amount of alcohol like im used to when i get a stout, cause in cali all the stouts are damn near imperials. Good mix of coffee and chocolate leaning towards the chocolate side of the balance. nice aroma. had it on tap out of season which is a cool thing that they do at the brewery, they have beers all year at random times.
beerhandy (195), Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA Nov 20, 2007 fresh growler ......three pints ,clearly the best stout brewed in Arkansas, very drinkable with a pleasant roast coffee aroma ,dark roasted malt with chocolate flavor nicely balanced with hops ,nice creamy mouthfeel and thin to medium body makes this a great session beer.
I drank this with some aged sharp cheddar...awesome! LilKem (1169), Marietta, Ohio, USA Jul 5, 2007 impressive irirsh stout. dry flavor with a lot of milk chocolate and irish creme flavor in addition to a very creamy mouthfeel, with some coffee. i liked it. :) the_federalist (198), Jonesboro, Arkansas, USA Apr 23, 2007 Growler filled 4-22-07. Pours black, very smallish head. I cannot describe this any better than to say it tastes and smells like watered down Rogue Shakespeare. To me, it just makes it more drinkable. Cornfield (4263), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA Jan 23, 2007 The body is dark, dark brown, nearly black, and it sports a creamy light tan head. Nice lacing. It’s a bit thin, but both nose and taste have lightly roasted malts & barley, old coffee, and a splash of milk chocolate. Pretty clean aftertaste. Not bad.
