3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 ben4321 (2991) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - JUN 18, 2012
UPDATED: JUN 19, 2012
Location: Draft at Little Rock Brewpub, 6/18/12
Aroma: The nose is rich and malty, with caramel, earth, toffee, and dough
Appearance: It pours a dark orange-brown with a small beige head and medium lace
Flavor: Tastes similar to the nose, with the malts being predominant, but the earthy hops balancing
Palate: The body is medium, and it has a pretty good mouthfeel, with a smoothish finish to it
Overall Impression:
I thought this was a very nice, and highly drinkable ESB. The aroma was just a hint above the taste for me. The pour and feel were both fairly impressive. I found this to be well-made and quite thirst quenching. Good stuff from Vinos.

Ancient backlog. Aroma of not much, sugary caramel and some cookie. Flavor very sweet with toffee, nougat, earth, a hint of citrus barely peeks out. Musty and dirty feeling. Not strong.

(draught) Slightly hazy medium amber with very little head but still some lace. Light aroma of toffee and grassy hops. Flavor is biscuit/caramel malt, some toffee, with a nice grassy hops finish. This would make a spectacular cask ale.

Appearance was light brown. Nice, pleasing hoppy aroma, from what I could tell. Some malt in the beginning that is overtaken before long by the bitter finish. Overall, not bad.

A great microbrew from Vino’s Brewpub. Nice bitter beginning with a nice strong hopsy finish. I think that you can only get this beer on tap at the resturaunt. If you’re ever in Little Rock, Arkansas, pay these folks a visit.
