Jul 15, 2007 on tap-pours an off white head and yellow color. Aroma is funky yeasty, musty. Taste is perfumy/flowery, rock candy, vinegar, fruit, hops, wood/oak. Good effervescence.

Jun 23, 2007 Lost and then re-found notes from Jan/Feb of 2007. Cloudy amber-red with a minimal head. The aroma is sour cherry as is he flavor. Very attentuated dry mouth feel. Ok, but I think that something is not quite right here.

Apr 15, 2007 Seems like the sourness noted by the previous rater was the start of an infection, because six weeks later, the sourness has taken over. Creamy beige head atop lightly hazed amber body. Aroma is medium sweet, sour cherry, light orange. Taste is medium sweet, sour cherry, some caramel, light orange. Light-medium body, smooth.

Mar 5, 2007 Sampled this one on draught at the brewpub in Leesburg, VA. Pours to a slightly hazy, caramel color, with a soapy white head, and a soft carbonation. The nose on this beer is inviting, with aromas of sweet malt, caramel, and earthyyeasty aroma. The palate is soft, with good pale, and carmel malt flavor, paired with a refreshing hint of sour fruit. This beer finishes with more good pale, caramel, sweet malt, a a touch of sourness up front, then ends with some good spicy/earthy yeast flavor that lingers. Interesting, and flavorful Belgian pale ale. I really enjoy the malt character in this beer, and the yeasty and slight sour notes makes this beer very drinkable, and play against the malt character. Very nice beer to match with a meal, or a beer to unwind with. I filled my growler with this one.

Feb 17, 2007 I thought this was one of the most basic beers they had on tap during my visit. It didn’t stick out to me really, it was definitly Belgian in character, but not spectacular, just to style.

Feb 1, 2007 Draft... Murky amber ale with a small, creamy, white head. Good lace. Fruity, acidic, yeasty aroma with notes of lemon, fuzzy fruits and pear. Yeasty and estery flavor. Fruity, tangy and mildly sweet. Medium-bodied with a milky mouthfeel and subtle carbonation. Fruity, tangy finish.
