2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Serving: Draft at the brewpub. It pours a light amber color with a small, off white head. The nose smells like a just emptied Jim Beam bottle. All bourbon and nothing else. The flavor is an odd mix of bourbon, light English hop notes, slight wood, and just a hint of malt Light to medium body. Way too heavy on the bourbon for this style of beer. Hell, I don’t think a bitter should be barrel aged anyway. An odd mix at best.
