jasonp (1441), Sterling/Dulles, Virginia, USA Mar 29, 2008 Sampled at V50. Very dark brown almost black with a mocha head. Ashy, earthy, roasty nose. Flavor is mainly roasty with additional notes of burnt toast, no sweetness/caramel character (as appropriate for the style) and earthy Brit hops. Plenty of bitterness from the acidic roastiness and hop character. Medium light body with soft carbonation - could be a little creamier. Overall, nice Dry Stout.
