Serving: Draft at the brewpub. It pours a deep red color with a small, off white head. The nose is slightly doughy with bread notes mixed in. The flavor follows suit with an earthy bitterness, some toasted notes, and a slight caramel sweetness. For some reason the bitterness seems uneven, but it’s still a decent brew. Medium bodied with lower than average carbonation and a malty finish. A slightly different twist on the original.
