On Tap at Big Barrel Tararrel 2013 at Vintage Brewpub. Chestnut with a very thin off-white crown. Aroma of rum, cherries, oak, raisons and other assorted dark fruits. Taste of cherries, chocolate, candi sugar, vanilla, oak, caramel and brown sugar. Smooth and sweet.

On tap at Dexters, left over from the Vintage tap take over, pours a dark clear amber with a thin head, the aroma was of straight rum and booze, a little bit of sweetness comes through but mostly booze, the flavor is extremely sweet with a ton of caramel and malt with a strong finish of booze, like Matt said, not only rum, but just a heavy alcohol like finish, this seriously tasted like it was 20%, not 10.5%.

On tap at the 2013 Big Barrel Tarrarel - Pours murky cola with a thin tan ring of head. Nose is boozy--it’s not so much rum as it is whiskey. Sweet and malty. Taste is really sweet and caramelly--not really run--just kind of a general spirit sweetness. Nice carbonation--smooth and med-bodied.
