On cask at the brewpub - The waitress told me this was a blend of their Dedication and their Freestyle. Hmm...a dubbel and a brown ale. Not sure what to expect, but it was surprisingly pleasant. Pours rosy, hazy brown with a small off-white head. Malty and grainy on the nose, with pumpernickel bread and some graininess. Taste is tropical fruit and yeast, but the normal heat of the Dedication is really offset by the malty Freestyle. Finishes real bready and malty. Real flat, even for being on cask. Interesting, but there’s something odd about this flavor combo that didn’t quite do it for me.
